The Offenders Aid and Rehabilitation Services of South Australia Inc. (OARS) have been assisting prisoners for 100 years. They provide support for prisoners' spouses, look after prisoners' children and assist in finding accommodation for prisoners' families. They also provide counselling, clothing and help in obtaining employment and Centrelink assistance.

Regular visits are made to all correctional institutions and prisoners are free to discuss any problems associated with their imprisonment with OARS welfare officers.
