HOW TO FIND THE LAW

Finding the law is not always easy. In recent years, books for non-lawyers have been published which provide relevant information on specific areas of the law. In addition, there are also many Internet sites which provide comprehensive legal information and access to current statutes.

Although most public libraries do not carry extensive law collections, some libraries have a small range of basic law books, and it may be possible to borrow a book through inter-library loan arrangements. Some law libraries allow access by members of the public, whilst some closed or restricted access law libraries will allow access under certain circumstances and by prior arrangement with the librarian.
