House Rules

The Residential Tenancies (Rooming Houses) Regulations 1999 also set out requirements for house rules. All house rules must be in writing and can not conflict with the code of conduct, be harsh or unconscionable or be made for any other reason except for enhancing the health and safety of people and property. Variations can be made after all residents receive seven days written notice. A copy of the house rules must be displayed in a prominent position in the rooming house and also a copy must be provided to residents.
