Employees of the Commonwealth Government who are injured arising out of or in the course of their work are covered by the Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (Cth). Comcare has been established to administer the legislation. As with the South Australian legislation the emphasis is on maintaining the injured employee's wages while rehabilitating her or him allowing a return to work.
